Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves. - James M. Barrie This is a group in which we get to look at ourselves and our art and ask and debate those time honored questions such as: Why do we do what we do? How is it received? What do we consider creative and unique? How do we deal with the Subjective nature vs the Objective one? Here all forms of visual art are accepted and as we journey into the world of visual stimuli hopefully we will gain a greater understanding of it's impact on us and the world we live in. For now the group is open by invitation only. If we are acquainted with you and you have not received an invitation and are interested in joining please feel free to contact us via note - we don't bite and we try our very best to be as open minded as possible. SUBMISSIONS: Submissions will be one piece every seven days. This means I want you to think about the pieces you submit - why did you create it? Was it an emotional reason, a subject you wished to explore? Was it art where you wished to make a statement? Was it purely for aesthetic reasons? Was it for commercial reasons? Was it a gift? Was there a story you wished to tell?Please be sure to submit to the Correct Folder. You may find that pieces can overlap in your reasons for creating them so I trust you to use your best judgment when submitting. We may however use our own discretion to move a piece if we truly feel it belongs in another Folder. FOLDERS: MESSAGES: Art in which you have a strong message or statement. VISIONS: Art that was created from inspiration of external sources - including influence by other artists work. DREAMS: Art created from inspiration from internal sources. INSPIRE: Art created to inspire others to act in some way - from emotional to physical, includes humorous art. LOOK: Art that was created for purely aesthetic reasons. LOVE: Art that was created as a gift for someone etc.... ENAMOURED: Art that was created from a pure love of something or someone - this includes fan art. PROMOTION: Art created to promote your skills - includes contests. DESIGN: Art created for commercial reasons - includes game development art etc... CREATE: Art used to help create - stock art etc.. RULES:  You can only submit work if you are a member and this is an invite only group for now We accept all levels of skill but work must be presentable - decent photo's of traditional mediums and no doodles etc... You are allowed one submission every seven days. This is not an auto-submit the work will be reviewed before being put in - as stated we want you to think about each piece being submitted and why. No WIP - but finished sketches, line art and speed paint are fine. ALL stock MUST be credited with a DIRECT LINK to the stock you used. NOT just the gallery or profile, this includes offsite/purchased stock and if you have used your own resources please state this clearly. No works with copyrighted material will be accepted unless it is clearly noted that permission was gained from the owner of the copyright. The work submitted into the group has to be yours. You are not allowed to submit other people's work here. You cannot submit to the featured gallery. Only the staff are allowed to submit art into the feature folder. (With the exception of the initial invitation offer.) Mature Filters must be applied where necessary. We accept tasteful nudity and fetish art. If a work is declined we will try our best to tell you why but we hope that this will not happen often and if you have any questions please ask via note. Last but not least, please play nice. |
